CLEAN SWEEP ELECTIONS FOR PORT JEFFERSON
The
Board of Directors would like to offer it's sincere
congratulations to newly appointed
Mayor Margot Garant, Trustee Leslea Synder and Trustee Adrienne
Kessel
on
their clean sweep victories.
They
have been given the opportunity to govern over the "Drowned
Meadow." Their positions come with many challenges - seen
and unseen. The first has been experienced firsthand:
winning the people's confidence, approval and votes. The
fact that Port Jefferson has chosen a change in leadership shows
that its citizens are now willing to take on the challenge of
adjusting to the "New Port." A desperate need for change
and intervention has arisen within the village of Port
Jefferson, which past leaders have not been able to address.
The
BID looks forward to working with Garant, Synder, Kessel and
their new administration in the upcoming years as we work
towards improving our wonderful village together.
